Bath & Tennis Club

The Lafayette Bath & Tennis Club, Inc. was formed in the early 1980's to serve the reviving surrounding neighborhoods. It has succeeded remarkably in its goal. Recently we completed renovations on the tennis court and replaced pool furniture. 
 
You become a member by purchasing a membership for a one time $1400. Additionally, members pay annual dues. For 2013 our dues are $250, as they have been for several years.

A membership allows use of the pool and tennis courts for residents of your home. The membership becomes an asset of your home and can be transferred to future owners. The membership can be transferred to another home if you move within the city or county. Memberships CANNOT be sold or transferred to another individual or family except as noted above.

The pool is professionally staffed by a service we contract with for guards and maintenance. We keep the pool open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, and weekends in September weather permitting. The tennis court is available year round.

A four person board of members runs the Club.

We presently have about 200 families as members, largely from Lafayette Square, Soulard, Benton Park, Fox Park, Tower Grove, and Compton Heights.

Two guests are allowed when accompanied by a member. Exceptions are made for birthday parties and the like when the pool is not crowded. As the pool is open until 9 pm, and in consideration of the neighbors, after hours parties are not readily accommodated.

Presently the Club is at the maximum number of families we can handle and we have a waiting list of 15 families. For 2013, five new members joined the club from our waiting list and several new families have been added to the list. To be included on the waiting list contact Tim Reedy, tim.reedy@yahoo.com ON OR AFTER JANUARY 1, 2014. No new names will be added during 2013.​
